Your child's safety and privacy are our top priority. We designed Open Learning Lab to be completely private from the ground up.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Open Learning Lab is designed for children ages 6–9. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation, and any data (such as a child's first name) is stored exclusively on the device and never transmitted to our servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following: names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, photos or videos, location data, device identifiers for tracking purposes, browsing history, or any other personal information. The app functions entirely offline once downloaded.
On-Device Data
Learning progress, avatar preferences, pet selections, and shop purchases are stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage (SwiftData/AppStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. Deleting the app removes all stored data.
No Advertising or Tracking
Open Learning Lab contains zero advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data collection tools. We do not track your child's behavior across apps or websites. There are no cookies, pixels, or fingerprinting technologies used.
Subscriptions & Payments
All subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Subscription management is handled through your Apple account settings.
Third-Party Services
Open Learning Lab does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app does not connect to social media platforms, and there are no external links accessible to children within the app. Our website (openlearninglabs.com) and YouTube channel provide supplementary educational content.
Changes to This Policy
If we make any material changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
